Addison's 2nd Birthday

Addison turned two years old last Wednesday!  I can't even believe how fast it has gone by.  In honor of turning two, Addi got two parties (not on purpose, but she didn't seem to mind!).

Party #1:

My name is Addi, and I like to party.
Hello Kitty cake made by Matt's mom.
We decided to have all of Addi's favorite things at her party, so we ate what she likes to eat.  Hot dogs, mac & cheese, Sprite, grapes, and candy.

Addi-sized Sprites
It didn't take her very long to get used to opening presents.  She got really good at it... she'd even show everyone what she got after opening them!

Addi wasn't too fond of the idea of candles on her cake, but she did like her piƱata!

Another one of Addi's favorite things is bubbles, and sure enough... they were at her party.  Colored even!

Party #2:

Party number two was held at my mom's house with her (whole) side of the family.

Birthday girl!

Overall, I think Addison had a great second birthday!  She definitely doesn't lack any love or attention.  :]

Greatest gift God could ever give.

I woke up this morning to Addi rushing up to bring me a handful of picked tulips (from who knows where).  A couple of the stems were snapped in half.  Words can't even describe how I felt at that moment. To top it off, our refrigerator was filled with Diet Cokes and I received a beautiful card written by my husband saying:

"Our baby is growing up. I want to raise her right. I want to teach her to be loving. To be caring. To be responsible. To smile and to laugh. To be patient and forgiving. These are big words and even bigger ideas for a small child to understand. But she already knows one word that encompasses them all...

Mom.

Happy Mother's Day.
You mean everything to us.
We love you!

Love Matt & Addi"

Can't get better than that. I am truly blessed.

Happy Mother's Day.

¡Hola!

It's been way too long since my last post, but for good reasons!

Last weekend, my dad and step mom took the family up to Bear Lake.  I'd never been before.  It was way fun, and really pretty!

Our ghetto rooms.  We got number "13."

She wasn't a fan of her life jacket.

Grandpa Pringle (my dad)

I also started school this week.  I'm taking Spanish, hence the post title.  And of course, I'm crazy busy finishing the wedding plans! I thought that I had four weeks left until a few days ago when I realized  I only had three.  Yeah, the worst time for that to happen.  Getting close! :]

Wedding Preview!

All of the wedding plans are finally falling together, which is good because we only have 41 days!  I got to try on my dress for the first time today (I ordered it back in April).  It was a little big, so I'll be going back next week for the first alteration fitting.  Here's what it looks like.  I am absolutely in love!

I have already ordered all of my bridesmaids' dresses.  Here's a pic of them.

And Matt's tux (which we still need to order):

And we can't forget the groomsmen!

These are what the boys are wearing on their feet.

Matt's pretty excited about them.  I also had a custom tutu made for my flower girl.  This is how it turned out!

Little Missy's Tutu Shop
My amazing sister Danielle has offered to do my wedding floral.  The centerpieces are going to look something like this.

Olive & Cocoa
The sizes of crates will be different, some taller, others longer. . . they will give good variety.

I still have so much do to and am stressing like crazy, but I am so excited! 41 DAYS!!!!!!!!! And then of course, Tahiti and Moorea. Woo! :]

Beginnings...

After leaving work today I received a text saying, "You are the best wifey in the world! I love you so much!"  Me: "I'm not your wifey yet! But did you find the cookies? Haha."  (Matt is the BIGGEST cookie monster, and I had left him two chocolate chip cookies in our locker).  Matt: "Yes! You're the best. And I'm not sure how to spell 'fiance?'"

One of the reasons I love Matt and am marrying him is because he is still a little boy... but in a good way.

Engagements by Duston Todd
This past year Matt and I have been through some amazing life-changing experiences (e.g. Addison and her first year), and we will continue to throughout the next year (e.g. getting married!).  These are experiences that I want to remember and share as well, and what better (and more modern) way of doing it than to keep a blog! Right?

So... here it is!
